Your article reports that Japanese cats have short tails because the Japanese cut their tails, but this is totally untrue.
この記事には、日本猫の尻尾が短いのは日本人が尻尾を切っているためだと書かれていますが、これは全く事実に反します。

　

They are born with short tails because it's in the genes. It has nothing to do with cruelty.
